The new QoS Suite v3.5 is available. It meets the needs of mobile operators and measurement professionals.
This new version includes the following main developments:
- Added automatic measurement of voice call quality using the Polqa™ standard. This measurement is as close as possible to the customer experience, through the use of commercial smartphones in customer use. Android and iPhone smartphones are supported
- Management of different Polqa™ calculation servers (in versions 2.4 or 3), a dedicated server per client, allowing MOS-LQO (Listening Quality Objective) scores associated with voice calls to be obtained
- Addition of a new component: the Voice Companion which associated with a Smartphone allows the injection of audio into a voice call as well as the recording of the audio. The customization of the Voice Companion allows support for many types of Smartphones and the maximization of MOS score. Control of the Voice Companion is carried out via Bluetooth on Smartphones that do not have an audio jack connector. The self-diagnosis of the intrinsic quality of the Voice-Smartphone Companion pair allows the audio measurement chain to be validated (outside the network)
- Addition of a board which allows the transport of 4 mobiles, 4 Voice Companions, a battery as well as the various audio, USB and power cables
- Control of voice robots connected to PSTN landlines (ISDN or SIP optional) to make Mobile-Fixed voice calls
- Control of a group of Smartphones (2 to 6) from a “remote control” Smartphone allowing the measurement launch to be synchronized and the progress of the measurements to be monitored
- Evolution of Voice measurement allowing automatic calls in sequences between two groups of Smartphones (inter and intra operator calls)
- Continuous sampling of network, radio signal and location information during measurements
- Tools for configuring and analyzing MOS measurements from the Web-based Portal: monitoring and control of measurements, audio analysis and edition of reports (Excel and CSV formats).
